Look at World of Tanks where they allowed moddign and have huge problems with it and delcaring so many mods as forbidden like alser mods, mods that remove obstacles for a better seight which obviosly giving advantages, aim bots etc. However you still have the problem that even if you want to play single player it was not ever ment to be played alone. You see that this is a special niche game where the normal player base died.

Of course is sound one to have tanks with an inpenetrable armor, more accuracy, damage and RoF, but it would ruin the experience for the other gamers. Same if you have units added that nobody is intended to have. A mod would remove this strategic decission. Not to be able to pick everything or having bonuses and disadvantages with your deck choice. This game however is build deck-wise to make choices and saacrafices. Also you find Mod that unlocks premium stuff or giving all units to every nation. Modding in competetive games have one serios issue: You need to ensure that the balance not getting ruined or that mods will give you an advantage you not suppose to have.Ī good example is Company of Heroes where you find maps that are very favoured for one side. It had added an ok'ish multiplayer but it was never intended to be for singleplayer. This is a competetive versus multiplayer games.
